Overview

The Blueprint Workshop Series is a collection of educational webinars offered free of charge on a monthly basis to anyone in the clinical community. The purpose of the series is to create an online forum for the education and discussion of new and important trends in mental health screening and assessment, measurement-based care, and the use of outcome measurement to enhance clinical effectiveness and population health and wellness.

Measurement-based care: An introduction for mental health professionals

Date & Time: June 8th, 2020 @ 10:00am - 11:00am PDT

Overview: This webinar will focus on an introduction to the theory and practice of measurement-based care with a focus on tips and advice for mental health clinicians working in outpatient programs. Pulling from principles of feedback-informed treatment (FIT) and related evidence-based strategies for improving clinical effectiveness, workshop attendees will learn actionable strategies for integrating routine outcome measurement into their practice.

Learning objectives:

  • To review commonly-used patient-reported outcome measures
  • To present research findings related to the benefits of measurement-based care across a variety of care organizations
  • To deliver principles and strategies for integrating clinical assessment data into decision making
  • To provide a proprietary step-by-step guide for practicing measurement-based care in therapy and counseling

Routine outcome measurement in group practice: Patient, clinician, and organizational benefits

Date & Time: July 2nd, 2020 @ 12:00pm - 1:00pm PDT

Overview: This workshop will cover the benefits of routine outcome measurement across the care spectrum. Focus will be placed on discussion regarding clinical, training, and financial value of measurement-based care, including new updates to billing and reimbursement practices as well as a proprietary step-by-step guide for using outcome measurement to improve patient outcomes and clinician effectiveness.

  • To present research findings on improving patient outcomes via MBC
  • To review feedback informed treatment for increasing clinician effectiveness
  • To present new updates to measurement-based reimbursement and billing practices

Using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in clinical supervision: Recommendations to enhance student therapist learning

Date & Time: August 3rd, 2020 @ 9:00am - 9:30am PDT

Overview: This webinar will provide information on using routine outcome measurement to enhance clinical supervision. Focus will be placed on enhancing supervision practices by focusing on the use of outcome measurement to promote patient safety, case conceptualization, and clinical effectiveness skills.

  • To provide information about improving patient safety via routine outcome measurement
  • To learn strategies and skills for helping supervises improve case conceptualization skills by integrating clinical assessment data
  • To review principles and practices related to feedback-informed treatment (FIT)
